Pink Ribbon Breakfast

2 November 2009, 17:49

Scout with her Kinder teacher JoScout’s creche had a Pink Ribbon Breakfast this morning. Apart from it being a real struggle to find anything Pink for Scout to wear, it was a lovely morning – the sun was shining, I met some new mums and the pink-iced cupcakes were Heaven. Except my thighs are now officially going to Hell.

I love that her creche is really proactive about these fundraising events. Not so long ago they had a PJ Day to raise money for the homeless, and the kids had their naps outside to get a taste of what it might be like to have to sleep outside. For Scout, she got to see what it might be like to have some not-so-quiet time outside…

The RaptureI’m guessing her edumacation today was all about counting the seconds it would take for her to scoff a large, bedazzled cupcake so she wouldn’t have to share it with her dad.

She didn’t get past 10.
