10 years together

June 20, 1999. The Crowded PwC Annual Ball (Hint of Horror was the theme). Two star-crossed lovers (“You’re not a Pisces are you???”) meeting for the first time. Kinki thinks she’s met her ultimate tall, dark and handsome man. Turns out 2 out of 3 aint bad. The stage is set. Fade to marriage.

10 Years together

Hell, I’m not ashamed to confess that I’m sentimental. I was summarily informed when we got married that I was not to have two anniversaries (marriage and first meeting) but 10 years is different, dude. A decade! That’s a quarter of my life and a third of McG’s life. That’s a long time, people.

So we celebrated today at Beate’s posh restaurant in Studley Park. Divine lunch – the best table in the corner of the enclosed balcony overlooking the river. Champagne cocktails. Sauvignon blanc. Saucy tarts (the dessert that is, not the company…) Very indulgent.

Love anniversaries. Any excuse to celebrate, I say.
