Bleugh: The Next Chapter...

...and now I have a hideous nasty head cold and am feeling particularly shithouse… the crap thing about being UTD, is that one cannot revert to the elixir of mucous-free days and nights – Codral. It sucks the big fat one. I’m feeling sorry for myself. Oh, yes I am.

AND Husband is going to Sydney tonight for 4 days to attend a web standards conference when all I really want is for him to keep me company, make me chicken soup and give me hugs & back-rubs on demand. Oh I know he’ll have a great time and he’s been looking forward to this for ever so long, but NOT WHEN I’M POORLY!!!!

  2. Great in theory, Gleek, but I actually find staying home from work v. boring indeed & will avoid if at all possible. I actually prefer the company of my work mates who tend to distract me. I reckon I’ll go in for a little while today and if I still feel crap at lunchtime, come home.

  6. yeah, i find home to be v. boring as well when i’m sick. why is it that when i’m at work, i want to be at home and vice versa? :) just sayin’ that if you HAVE to be at home because you’re sick, you might as well try to make the best of it. i know that the change of seasons around here is making everyone sick. it’s a bad time of year around the globe.

  8. Gleek, it really is the eternal mystery isn’t it? I feel exactly the same way. As it turned out, I took your advice today and borrowed a few movies to watch (Spanglish, The Terminal and Battle Royale II) as well as “Joe Cinque’s Consolation” to read, as I took the day off to recuperate.

    Unfortunately, my colds go straight to my chest and it gets quite ugly. Brain is good. Lungs are shot. And MiniMc is not enjoying the coughing much, poor munchkin…
