On the Wagon
I haven't played with my sexy new Nikon since Fujiyoshida. I would love to, but Dicky Knee has basically handcuffed me to the apartment.
It seems the petulant cow is refusing to heal. She's torn like, 4,000 ligaments (OK. There are only 4. Sue me for the good word) and the only thing keeping me going is the amusing irony that I keep getting these sports injuries without having to, ahem, do any sports.
But there is light in the form of new Photo Friday and Theme Thursday submissions. Gotta get my fix somehow...

Dicky knee, no getting around, less updates in 35degrees.. Gah, excuse me while I kill myself - Or perhaps not, but it sucks, anyways.
Hope you get better soon, Kinki :)
Thanks Taarne. But eh? Less updates??? Buddy, I've been updating every day for the last week! In fact its the only thing I've been able to do (apart from whinge).
i like motion :) where did the "dicky knee" phrase come from ?
"Dicky Knee" is actually a bit of an Australianism. There used to be a show called "Hey Hey its Saturday" and one of the characters (whose face you never saw) was called Dicky Knee. It just seemed to, you know, fit. Cos my knee certainly feels dicky.
Thanks for that explanation! I've been exploring the photo galleries on your site ever since you commented on mine last week, and I really like a lot of your shots. I think you have a great eye and sense of placement for your subjects... Which new Nikon did you get?
I got a Nikon Coolpix 5700 for Xmas. Didn't take it on the Kyushu trip though - took the Sony Handycam (video and stills) instead. The Fujiyoshida shots are really the only ones I've done with the Nikon. Have to get my hands on an online English manual. The manual which came with the camera is all Nihongo. Argh. Laziness is a curse.

The European Coolpix site grants access to documentation not available elsewhere. You might be able to update your firmware as well.
Cheers!
