Exam results in!

Just quickly before Kim writes twenty pages about our awesome trip to Hokkaido, I wanted to get in first and say that I passed my Japanese proficiency exam!! Yaay!! Ok, it was only Level 3, and the listening stung me a bit (I remember thinking it was easy!) but it is still encouraging. I sat it back in December and the result card was part of the buildup of mail as we walked in the door.

An even bigger congrats to my buddy Nick Pal for (just) passing the Level 2 exam, that is my goal for this year. The step up to Level 2 is huge, and I have started studying already. The kanji is intimidating, and the grammar is downright scary. Gambarooo!
